A: Hinata’s shippuden costume because she is my favourite female character

Q: What’s attractive to you about cosplay?

A: I love play the part of my favorite characters and I am always satisfied when I can play the best … especially when they are characters who are much affectionate

Q: Your most memorable moment while cosplay?

A: When I won my first competition with my best friends…I was very excited >.<

Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?

A: I really like being photographed because I may be able to indulge in all the poses and expressions typical of the character I play

Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?

A: My dream is to make the cosplay of Klan Klan from Macross Frontier with the space suit .. but it is very fitting I would look good, so I can not do it … My next projects are genesis version Simca (Air Gear) and Taokaka (by Blazeblue)

Q: Which cons do you want to participate recently? What is your favorite part about going to cons?

A: The last cons I attended was the Lucca Comics & Games … I do not have a favorite moment in which I always like to go^^

Q: How do your family members think of your cosplay? Do you also feel interested and support you?

A: My family supports me a lot, especially my mother who helps me find everything I need ^ ^

Hi, My name is Tessa and I am 15 years old. I was born in America, but now live in France.  At first I wasn’t so sure what my parents reaction to me Cosplaying would be, turn’s out they  find it interesting. So I started out buying fabric and making my costumes, I saved up money to buy wig’s, and watched many tutorials on makeup. I don’t know if I am any good, I don’t really care as long as I have fun. If you post this on Facebook, I don’t think they would understand because my friends are French xD. But I will explain it to them ^^. I hope I have success in the contest!

Comment: Here I am cosplaying Sasuke and Naruto. I am both of them. I don’t have Sasuke alone, so this is the only best picture I have with sasuke.

A: Either Gaara , Sakua  or Sasuke’s black outfit (not the shippuden one)… Sorry, I can’t make my mind up! But I’m thinking about Gaara…  I will know if I win!

Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?

A: No I am not photographed, because I have nobody to do it for me. I use a Tripod. But I would feel nervous if somebody took a picture of me in cosplay.

Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?

A: Yes I do have plan’s, I wanted to make a CMV (Cosplay Music Video), but It would be weird if I were the only one in it.. And my friends don’t cosplay so I can’t make one…

As we promised yesterday, we sent an interview invitation to MrGnob. And fortunately, we got a reply from her today. Can’t wait but sharing you details here, you also feel delighted? Thanks, Galina 😀

Q1. Please tell us something about yourself.

My name is Galina, I’m 25 years old. I’m from St-Petersburg, Russia. I’m a certificated oceanologist, but I’d like to be a costume designer.

Q2. When did you begin to do cosplay? You like it or got into it by some other reasons?

I began to do cosplay in 2005. I like it very much! And now I’d like to do not only cosplay, but some original projects too.

Q3. What’s your favorite cosplay and why?

My favourite cosplay is Isabella. I feel that this character suits me.

Q4. Have you ever met some difficulties in cosplay? And how did you solve them?

I feel difficulty in getting some materials, because we are living in Russia. But, if I can’t get it, I do it by myself.

Q5. I find you have so many stunning pictures displayed in the gallery. So, are you often photographed? Is there any suggestion for people? How can they look great while facing the lens?

Actually, I don’t like to be photographed, because I feel myself a little confused. But, when we do a photo session with friends, everything becomes simple and easy. We laugh a lot, and I don’t worry about defective frames. Do your pictures in that way as you like to see it on other cosplayers.

Q6. Is there any suggestion for which convention cosplay beginners can go?

I think if you want to start, you shouldn’t be afraid.

Q7. We do think your Astharoshe Asran cosplay seems ideal. So, how could you achieve this?

aww.. thanks a lot! =3 I and Kaikida have done this costume just for two weeks, because we are a good team. And I wanted this costume so much. So I couldn’t sleep well before we finished.

Q8. Any new plan you can’t wait to do?

Yep! A lot of plans! As I said, also I’d like to try myself in original costumes and couture.

Q9. Are your costumes made by yourself or bought?

Everything is made by myself and Kaikida. We are a team.

Q10. What are the good things of cosplay? And also, what are the bad things?

Cosplay teaches me a lot. It makes me self-confident and independent. It’s a good side! But cosplay takes a lot of time, I wish there could be more than 24 hours in a day =3.

While finding Mishi-ko’s Final Fantasy IV Rydia of the Mist cosplay, I felt really confused, because I don’t know which photo should be selected. All of them drew my attention since the first glimpse. And the cosplay girl does seem irresistibly appealing with that exotic costume. Today, this Peruvian cosplay talent accepts our cosplayer interview. She shares us her cosplay experience here. To detect some finishing touches for your own cosplay performance, don’t be hesitant to stop to take a look at what she says below :P.

1. Please introduce yourself first.

Hi! My name is Susan Escalante, also known as Mishiko in DeviantArt. I’m a Peruvian cosplayer since 3-4 years ago. I’m studying communications, marketing and graphic desing at Lima’s university and IPAD. I also have radio show about cosplay named “Cosplay Time!” in Fan-Radio.com

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay means to me a lot of things, like creativity, perseverance, confidence, teamwork, and much love for your favorite characters.

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

My first cosplay was Dejiko from DigiCharat 3-4 years ago at Todaiji’s Xmas Party.

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

I think the first time when I went with my friends to a cosplay party. I went as Dejiko from Digicharat and I was very nervous. People started to take a lot of photos with me and they told me that they liked my cosplay. My friends and I decided to participate in the cosplay contest, and I won the First Place :). I was very happy and I would like to “remake” my Dejiko’s cosplay ^w^ as soon as i can because I have better knowledge of how to do it better.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

I think Rydia’s photo shoot with my mom, it was in my house. I like to do photoshoots with her. She is very patient and works hard to get the best pictures.

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

I love all my cosplays, but if I have to choose one, i think it will be Rydia from Final Fantasy IV.

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

I have a lot of future plans like Princess Zelda from Zelda: Twilight Princess and Amy Sorel from Soul Calibur IV. Also you can know more of my future plans in my cosplay blog.

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

I make my costumes myself, also my aunt and my mom help me with them. I only buy wigs at ebay 🙂

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

I like a lot of cosplayers like Francesca Dani, Yukigodbless, jiagold, Jiakidarkness, LennethXVII, Sbabby.

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

I used to be so shy and now I think I have become more confident with myself since I started “cosplaying”. If I want to do something, I know I can go through with it if I just put all of me. Btw, I met my best friends and I love have fun with them.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

Make the cosplay that you want to do. The most important thing is to be comfortable wearing the costume and don’t forget cosplay is for fun! If you have some friends that they would like to cosplay any character, join with them and do cosplay together, I think is more fun if you do it with your friends. Also every cosplay is a new set of challenges and you always learn something new!!

Having a strong interest for cosplay and most loving cartoon characters such as Yoko and Kaguya, MiciaGlo created many stunning works and share them with all cosplay fans in her gallery. 1. Please introduce yourself first.

Hi guys! I’m an Italian cosplay girl, my name is Gloria (Sweet Angel), I’m 21 years old and I’m attending Biotechnology at the University of Padua.

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay means fun, passion, creativity and also suffering. Cosplay is a particular hobby, usually expensive, that give a lot of emotions, the possibility to make new friendships and knowledge. I choose characters similar to me in physical aspect and personality. Sometimes my boyfriend ask to me to perform characters for his pleasure for example Kirin armor, Kaguya and Ignis: in these occasions I searched a lot of information (and also images) about them to make their representation at my best! Cosplay is not only to make the costume, I think that interpretation is very important!

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

My first cosplay was Tifa Lockhart from FFVII on november 2008: I wore the costume with friends, but it wasn’t a cosplay convention! My first serious exhibition was in “Mantova comics” the following year. Unfortunately I haven’t a lot of photos: I need a new photoset 😉

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

It’s hard to decide! Every day with a cosplay is wonderful! Perhaps my most memorable moment was the first photo with Tifa or people that meet me and say “Hi Sweet Angel, I’m your fan!” XD

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

My favorite photo is taken from one of my last photoset about Yoko! For a long time I searched a beautiful location for her, and finally I found it!!

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

My favorite is Yoko from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

I’m planning a blonde elf for Lucca Comics and Games, but it is a secret until I’ll finish the costume 😉 I can say that at the same convention I’m going to wear Miku Zatsune (Vocaloid) thanks to Mic Costume!

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

Usually I made by myself the costume (for example Yoko and Kirin), but sometimes ask to cosplayer to make it for me as a commission (for example Kaguya and Ignis). Unfortunately I have a very old sewing machine that can’t sew a lot of fabric, or I have no time because of the University 🙁 I never follow a dressmaking class, so make costumes take to me a lot of time >.<

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

Foreing cosplayers: Kamui, Ryoko, Kaname, Clefchan, Mostflogged. Italian Cosplayers: AuraRinoa, Marika, FraGatsu, Selaine, Mogu cosplay, Nadia SK, and more others 😉

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

I was very shy and after cosplay, self-esteem improves !

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

Chose the character that you prefer, and not because is the latest trend! Make cosplay with heart and passion, but not with obsession!
