Hello Hello! My name is Sandra or you can call me what my friends do, Sasuke. I was born in South Korea but was raised in America. I am 20 years old. I first started cosplaying when I was 18 because I was not allowed to do anything till I was an adult and able to drive to conventions because my parents would not. When I cosplayed for the first time, I cannot believe how much fun it was and the numerous of friends I made just from that fun weekend at a convention. I work hard trying to obtain the costumes I need and no proud to ask for help from my great friends when I need it. I enjoy looking at others cosplays because I think there amazing no matter what! I hope I do well in this contest, even if I don’t I am glad to compete with the other amazing cosplayers here. : )

Naruto Cosplays Done by Sandra
1. Sasuke
Comment: This photo was taken at Anime Weekend Atlanta with the help of my friend Grell (Rachel). This is one of the poses I did with my chunin exams costume for Sasuke. It’s hard to see but I have Itachi’s contacts in this!
2. Sasuke
Comment: This photo was taken at Animazement. I thought it was cool to have a picture in the dark. This outfit is when we first see Sasuke in the series.
3. Sakura Haruno
Comment:This photo is me cosplaying as Sakura Haruno. This picture is taking the facial view of Sakura, the thing around my neck is actually the cloak from the Shippuden series/movies. Thought I show some love on another character of Naruto. 🙂
4. Sasuke
Comment:This photo was taken at a small con: Libraricon. This Sasuke was my own creation, it was a formal look as Sasuke and I love the angle my friend Stephanie took for this photo.
5. Sasuke
Comment:This photo was taken during Otakon during an awesome photoshoot in the dealer’s room. Droo Fatagrafa did an amazing job with this photo! His work is great! The sharingan contacts are displayed here! 🙂

Here’s an simple interview:
Q: Which Naruto costume listed as prizes do you most want?
A: If I was the winner, I would most likely get the Shippuden costume of Sasuke. I am dedicated to Sasuke’s character and always like to challenge myself to cosplay different versions. Plus, he’s my favorite.
Q: What’s attractive to you about cosplay?
A: I believe the most attractive point about cosplay is how you can be yourself, you are able to have fun and meet all sorts of different people. To me, cosplay is not about looking the best or matching skin tones with the characters, it’s about having fun and expressing your love, dedication and hard work you put into your cosplay and showing the love you have the character.
Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?
A: As Sasuke, I am frequently getting photographed. I do not get as shy when I am Sasuke or any character for that matter because I feel like I can become myself and I can express my way and dedication of Sasuke’s character. I enjoy having my photo taken because I love being able to show how I can get into character when people take them.
Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?
A: I haven’t been able to some cosplays like doing a duel monster from Yugioh or a card from cardcaptors because I do not have the right skills and the money is always a great issue. The next plan that will take a lot of work will be Kai from beyblade and Deidara from Naruto.
Q: Which cons do you want to participate recently? What is your favorite part about going to cons?
A: I am a part of the Grell Show and we look forward to participating in many cons, especially our home con; Animazement. I love going to Otakon, AWA, and Katsucon too.
Q: How do your family members think of your cosplay? Do you also feel interested and support you?
A: My family members find it weird but they don’t care what I do with cosplay.
