Hello, my name is Shon Reidy. I’m 17 years old and live with my sister Hannah, her boyfriend Richard, and three other roommates. I’m a senior in high school and I plan on attending UMASS Dartmouth. I cosplay with Hannah and Richard in our cosplay group: Kryptiq Cosplay.

Q: Which costume displayed there as prizes do you most want to get?
A: I’m definitely interested in the Shippuden Gaara costume. I’ve already cosplayed young Gaara, and now that I’m older, I feel it’d be pretty cool to be older Gaara. The Sasuke cosplay also looks really tempting.
Q: Are you often photographed? Since many cosplayer (especially beginners) feel nervous or unnatural while facing the lens, would you like to sharing us some experience or skills here?
A: Most of the time I’m the one behind the camera because I feel a little camera shy, but when I am being photographed, confidence is key, especially if you’re cosplaying a confident character.
Q: Is there any cosplay plan you are rather interested in yet not able to do it due to some reasons? And what is your next plan?
A: My sister and I are planning a Trinity Blood cosplay, which are known to be almost overly extravagant. The only thing holding me back right now is money. Between paying for rent, driving school, and college fees, there isn’t much extra for cosplay needs.
