Here, fore eye-catching cosplay appearance done by her are shared with you, probably inspiring you about how to enrich your own cosplay performance. Dila has a personal quote of “Yer a wizard Harry” and has interest in Tim Burton movies. Besides, she is a devotee for manga, anime, realism, photography, etc. Now, let’s take a look at content shared by this excellent girl below.

1. Please introduce yourself first.

My name is Dila, I am a self-proclaimed artist and I enjoy designing robots in my spare time. I live in Canada, have absolutely no social life or hobbies (rather than cosplaying of course) and enjoy blasting my music in awkward situations.

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

I think cosplaying is a beautiful form of art; if done right. It expresses the feelings you have for that character, portraying him or her the way you feel about them. It can also be in an acting perspective; where you can perform and literally become that character. It’s a really fun experience.

Wrench Love Cosplay

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

Oh geez. I believe my first cosplay was back when I was thirteen and I was completely obsessed with the series Bleach at the time. It was when I first found out about cosplay, and I literally had no idea what to do. I ended up being my favorite character from the series; Neliel Tu.

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

My most memorable cosplay experience had to be when my friend Alex and I had finally put together our Fullmetal Alchemist cosplays and went out for a photoshoot. It wasn’t much, not to mention it was boiling hot outside but we both had waited such a long time to do the cosplay together that even though we were dyeing of heat it was like a ‘we finally get to dot this!’ moment.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

I don’t necessarily have a specific photo shoot in mind; however just running around town in my groups and my cosplays and seeing everyone’s reactions was always the best part.

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

My favourite characters to cosplay as are Winry Rockbell from Fullmetal Alchemist and Lelouch/Zero from Code Geass.

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

Oh man, you should see the list of future cosplays. The major cosplays would have to be Soul Evans from Soul Eater, Misaki Ayuzawa from Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, Hope Esthiem from Final Fantasy XIII and Kanade Tachibana from Angel Beats!

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

It depends on the cosplay. If it’s extravagant or complicated I would prefer to buy them, if not and it’s simple I’ll “attempt” to make them.

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

Ton of them. Too many to list. However, I’ll have to have to write my right hand man who does a lot of the pairing cosplays with me. Her account is AlexIsOnFireForYou.

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

Changes? Haha, well after we stop cosplaying for the day; I become a complete mess. I don’t even think you can recognize me after I cosplay.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

My advice to you cosplay newbies is; try to make yourself look as convincing as possible. Think of the cosplay as not you wearing a costume, but becoming the character instead. That includes good wigs, convincing costumes ect. Good luck to you!

Cosplayer Interviews – Lulisuki

Kasumi Cosplay

Today, we found Lulisuki, a Spanish girl joining in our cosplayer interviews. She is absolutely an excellent cosplayer since lots of stunning pictures are shown in her gallery~~ Kagami Hiragii and Homer Simpson are her favorite cartoon characters. Memoirs of a Geisha is her favorite movie. Then Final Fantasy saga is her favorite game. You can also see more information about here on her website. Below, let’s follow her to see something interesting about her cosplay life.

1. Please introduce yourself first.

How can I start… Hi! I’m Lula (Lulisiki on Deviant Art), from Spain. I’m 20 years old and only 3 in cosplay. I love writing, reading and designing several outfit’s type. I would like working as an English teacher and, if were possible, designer in my free time, haha.

Since I was only a child, I really liked to make costumes for Carnivals and Halloween. The first time I saw an anime (Card Captor Sakura and Sailor Moon), I would like disguise as Sakura or Sailor Jupiter, haha. Many years later (12 years, more or less), a friend who really loves anime and manga took to me about cosplay and showed me pics. It was the first time I knew about this wonderful world.

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

I think is a way to make reality the heroes or villeins of our favorite movies, comics, videogames and things like that. Also to be your favorite character for a period, moreover if it was your idol who you get used to acclaim when you were a child. I think it’s a really nice experience.

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

Really, I don’t consider it as cosplay due to the result was too awful, haha. It was Yuna, from Final Fantasy X, my favorite game from this saga. I was thirteen years old, and I made this cosplay for Carnivals, in February. It was too cold to wear this in that date! But I really loved Yuna and I wished to emulate her. Sorry, I have no pictures =(

Smile Cosplay

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

Oh! It was the last year, in an anime and manga convention in Salón del Manga de Jerez (2010). I was cosplayed as Keira, from Jak & Daxter. It’s an old game, more or less, and I didn’t think that anyone (or almost anyone) recognized me. However, when my friends and me arrived there, a boy run to me and exclamed: Omg! It’s really Keira! I didn’t expect that. Can I take a pic with you? I was so, so, so grateful and illusionated. If there were someone that didn’t expect something like that, it was me. Because this, I answered him: No, I take it with you, hahaha.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

The last one with my Kasumi white costume. I love the final result of the pictures.

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

Hmm, difficult question indeed. I have to say one per section, sorry, hahaha. In anime, I would like cosplay as Senjougahara Hitagi, from Bakemonogatari. Games, I would like cosplay as KOS-MOS, from Xenosaga, and finally, in manga I would like cosplay as Hikari’s card, from Card Captor Sakura. This one is a project I have with a friend since a lot of time ago. I hope make this costume someday.

Elle Driver Cosplay

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

Really! A lot! The project I answered in the last question, but I have more indeed. One of them is Alisa Bosconovich, from Tekken 6, Ashe’s wedding dress, Rose from Legend of Dragoon (not the Dragoon’s costume) and Quorra, from Tron Legacy. They’re projects I hope to do in the next years, but for this one I’ll cosplay as Senjougahara, and I hope to do one from Metal Gear Solid 4. The last one is a secret, but I’ll give you a clue: she is a villein.

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

I always make them as much as a can. How to explain… If I bought something, it would be the shoes like boots. On the confection, my aunt or my friends helps me on time to sew, because I haven’t a sewing machine (I hope to have one this Christmas!) and it’s awful sew perfectly with only your hands a tabulate skirt or a long dress. Too many time to spend and I’m a student =(

To sum up, I prefer make my costumes by me than buy in a store. You wear this differently. Made by your hands is more satisfactory when someone recognized you, because he isn’t only like your character. He likes your job in general, and you find this hours spending in the cosplay with too illusions has a really nice result.

In other hand, and yeah, finally this time, haha, if you hadn’t too much time to spend making your costume, it’s better buy it.

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

I really LOVE Omi Gibson (recently I knew about her thanks by a friend). Her cosplays from Metal Gear Solid are awesome, specially The Boss. Nice characteritation I’ve ever seen of her. And her Raiden’s cosplay… awesome indeed. He is my favorite character from this saga, and she really did a perfectly job. I find her so poliphathetic. The other cosplayer I like is Kipi. She is so kawaii, hahaha. I love her Chii’s cosplay and her Akemi Homura cosplay.

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

Not significatelly, but I know too much people who loves cosplay too! And they are today good friends of mine. Thanks at them, I grew up day per day as cosplayer. They help me a lot with their critics about my jobs, and giving me advices that help me so much in next projects to do better.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

Yes, of course! Make the cosplay that you want to do. The most important thing is to be comfortable wearing the costume. Only to achieved it if you really like the character. So, it doesn’t matter what the people think, not need your job is really good or not, cause you will be improving time by time.

Cosplay is a nice hobby and experience individually or in group, and you would have a good time playing as your favorite hero or villein!

My most memorable cosplay experience is when I was dressed up as the Superhero, Black Canary. I was at a local comic book store’s anniversary party and a little girl came up to me and was telling me about how I was her favorite hero and how she wanted to be a hero too when she grew up. She also asked me all these questions about what life is like in the Justice League and what other famous heros like Batman were like in person. She was so sweet!!

My favorite photoshoot so far was as Marluxia (from Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories) at Metrocon 2010. I had two of my friends with me as Zexion and Namine and it was done by one of my favorite photographers. Not only did the pictures turn out great, but the whole process was so much fun! 😀

I have a lot more conifidence now! 😀 Also it has introduced me to so many great people.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

My best advice is just to go ahead and do it! Do you have a dream cosplay? Even if you think its too hard, start planning it out and practicing. Ask other cosplayers and look up tutorials and online lessons, sometimes its best just to take that leap of faith. Also, never loose sight of the fact that cosplay is for fun, and no matter what youre doing cosplay related (cons, photoshoots, events, contest or just hanging out) keep that in mind 🙂
