Event: Miccostumes Crossplay Contest (Dec. 2014)

Entering Period: Dec.1th – Dec.30th (PST) Entries earlier or Later than this period will not be accepted.

Winners and Prizes

Winners:

Those who have the most “Likes” will win the contest.

You can post it on any social media, Facebook, Deviantart, World Cosplay, Instagram…

Prizes:

First Prize: a costume from Miccostumes or $100 cash coupon

Second Prize: a wig from Miccostumes or $50 cash coupon

Third Prize: $20 cash coupon

Each contestant after the third with more than 10 likes will get a $5 cash coupon.

Note: Cash Coupon can be used as equivalent cash when purchasing on www.miccostumes.com.

How to Participate

All you need to do is post on any social media you use with at least two photos (more is prefered) of your crossplay with required contents.

The text must contains Miccostumes.com Dec. 2014 Crossplay Contest https://blog.miccostumes.com/?p=10433, reply here or on our Facebook with the link to your post. All submissions must contain Name, Age, Gender, Country, Character and its Anime/Game name.

Example:

My name is Mic and I am a 20-year-old girl from United States. I’ve been a cosplayer for 3 years. I just joined Miccostumes.com Dec. 2014 Crossplay Contest https://blog.miccostumes.com/?p=10433 This character is Kirito from Sword Art Online, I hope you guys like it. Vote and share for me if you think my crossplay is good.

About the qualification

At least two photos are required. One of the photos should be showing your real gender (life photo) and the other photo should be your crossplay (the opposite gender).

(A girl cosplaying as Miku? No! If you’re a girl, crossplay means you must submit a photo of you cosplaying a male character.)

The photos should be clear enough to identify your gender and the character you are cosplaying. Couple cosplay and group cosplay are not acceptable.

Please note that only one post is valid, we’ll not add up the likes if your post is more than one or on different websites.

Miccostumes has the final say whether you’re qualified. (Contact us if you have any questions)

Winner Announcement:

Winners will be announced on our blog and Facebook on Dec.31st, the prizes will be rewarded right after.

July 2014 Cosplay Contest — Basketball is not only Kuroko’s

The 20th Fifa World Cup makes the whole world crazy, while Kuroko’s Basketball fascinates many cosplayers. This summer we love sports and we love cosplay more! So for the contest this month, we’re going to do something about Kuroko’s Basketball but more than that! Read on for details.

(Miku playing basketball? No! Must be someone designed to play basketball officially)

(It is not necessary that there’s a basketball in the photo…)

Kirito and Sinon Couple Cosplay from Sword Art Online Phantom Bullet Arc (Gun Gale Online)

Sword Art Online Phantom Bullet will be released soon. Isn’t that a good news? Tell you what, we’ve already had costumes of Kirito and Sinon for sale now in our store, you can see it in July New Arrivals. Get ready for your couple cosplay!

We’ve discussed about Kirito’s relationships with other female characters from Sword Art Online (Click here to read), now it’s time we talk about Kirito and Sinon.

Spoiler Alert: The following contents (wikia) contain details about future plotlines described in the light novels. If you don’t want to be spoiled, jump to the introduction of the costumes.

Asada Shino (Sinon) was the first person that Kirito became acquainted with in the world of Gun Gale Online. However, at the time, Sinon had presumed that Kirito was a girl due to his avatar being the rare M9000 type. This led to an easy misunderstanding and a hard slap that started their relationship off as a heated rivalry and hatred (friendly on Kirito’s part). However, Sinon had respect for him the instant he tackled the extremely difficult arcade game and won on the first try.

When they journeyed to find Excaliber, and Kirito yanked playfully on Sinon’s tail. The end result was very negative though, as expected. However, Kirito both respects and trusts her in both the real world and in the world of GGO. He does not doubt her unbelievable precision as a sniper, and does not doubt her.

Sinon actually despised Kirito at first, when he neglected to inform her of his gender. Events added up, and the two became rivals. However, their relationship steered in an entirely new direction when she noticed that Kirito might be dealing with the same grief she was as well. By the time she was beginning to get over her phobia of the Black Star, she began to have feelings for Kirito that may have been kindled ever since their duel during Barrett of Bullets.

Introduction of Kirito’s costume and Sinon’s Costume

Kirito is still all in black. He has a long hair in GGO, looks like a girl. The shoes haven’t been made, so the model is wearing former version.

He uses a pistol so we made a holster at the back on the belt. You can click the photo to see all details of the costume.

Sinon’s costume is a bit complex but we successfully completed all details. We had a pair of boots for her but the bottom of the trouser leg is too small to cover the boots like how it should be, so we used a simple shoes instead.

Sinon is a sniper so her weapon is a sniper rifle, PGM Ultima Ratio Hecate II, which is also available in our store.
