This is Karycch, who comes from Italy and shows us a rich series of great cosplays in her gallery. Except that one found by us, her cure Peach cosplay, Hatsune Miku cosplay and Sheryl Nome cosplay also deserve thumbing up. You will see all of them here. 1. Please introduce yourself first.

Hi! I’m Kary, I have 18 years old. I am cosplayers almost 5 years and I’m an Italian cosplayer. ^ __ ^ I started doing cosplay for the event. Initially I didn’t know how do it … Indeed I used not so good wigs, costumes with a few details, etc.. ç_ç Now I think I improved a little bit at least. ; D

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay for me means interpretation, identification, passion, satisfaction, e. .. inventive. ^ o ^

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

My first cosplay was Haruhi Suzumiya! > _ < from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya from way back in 2008.

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

My best experience was last Romics. I brought Sheryl from Macross Frontier, diamond crevasse Version. It was my dream cosplay. * _ * It was really a dream come true. <3

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

I prefer to cosplay characters from Anime and Manga. ^ _ ^ My favorite anime is Macross Frontier, I love Sheryl! I also love Ikkitousen! ^ __ ^ But lately I have in mind some of the characters of video games. ^ 3 ^ LikeDiao-Chan from Dynasty Warriors. > __ <

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

Yes! I have the full list! But one of the next will be Yukari Yakumo from Touhou Project! * o*

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

Usually I buy them. But it depends on the difficulty. If it’s a quite difficult one, or there’s a material hard to find, I commissioned it or I buy it. But if it’s simple I’m perfectly capable to do it all by myself.

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

Umh… In Italy there are some really very respectable cosplayers! ; W; Personally, I Love Selaine (the winner of this year WCS), Nadia SK, Mogu Cosplay! I really like!

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

Tend to be a rather shy person, but when I cosplay as much as possible I try to imitate the character, even temperamentally. : D I’d say I transform!

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

I have the trauma of wigs! XD So, the only advice I can give is: Choose carefully your wigs ^ _ ^ The color and the right cut, but then of course you can style as you want! And then … Attention to detail! Be as detailed as possible … And you will see that your efforts will be rewarded. * __ *

As promised, we invite YurikoTiger to our cosplay interview, helping you better know her. One week ago, we found her Code Geass Kallen Stadtfeld cosplay, which seems rather appealing & gorgeous. This is an Italian girl who shows us many stunning photos in her gallery (you must be interested in taking a look too). Taiga Aisaka is her favorite cartoon character. But I most like her Sheryl Nome cosplay. Now, focus on what she says below.

1. Please introduce yourself first.

My real name is Eleonora, but everyone calls me with my nickname, Yuriko Tiger. I’ve born in the ’93, I’m Italian and I live in Imperia. Since I was a little girl I’ve loved the oriental world and it’s lifestyle, music, cooking and most of all anime and manga. I’m into cosplay since 2008, but all my “good” costumes have been made on this last year of activity. Besides from cosplay, I also have other hobbies, like singing, dancing and drawing. My dream is to become famous, in Japan if possible… I hope I can do it someway!

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

On my first experiences as a cosplayer, cosplay for me was only a fun game, but nowadays it became more than a simple hobby or a way to have fun. I have thousand of cosplay projects at the moment, and every new convention that appears I want to partecipate and have fun with my costumes! Maybe for someone that will sound really stupid, but cosplay is, at the current moment, the thing that I love or admire.

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

Haruhi Suzumiya, back in 2008 @ Fumettopoli (a convention in Milan). I’ve received that cosplay for my birthday that year and I’ve convinced myself to take it to a convention… I loved Haruhi, it was great on stage!

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

My most memorable cosplay experience? I think that my first cosplay suits this well. It was kinda horrible, I was really young, afraid and goofy. But it was my first time on a convention and I had so much fun with my friends that I can’t forget it. Besides that, recently I’ve cosplayed as Mephisto Pheles from the anime Ao no Exorcist: my first crossplay! And it was a huge success amongst the girls. I’m really happy about that, I’m really satisfied, more that winning a contest. ^ ^

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

I love to take photo shooting sessions, and I’m lucky enough to know many photographers who I can meet during conventions, but as from today my favorite one is the Kaku Bunwa one, taken by Cosmoplay photographers. Also, I love the Anna (from He is My Master) taken by a friend, Fabio Viziano!

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

Aisaka Taiga from the anime Toradora. Part of my nickname, as you can surely figure out by yourself ;3, is taken from her. We’re almost the same as behaviour ^//^ .. I really want to cosplay as her, but physically we’re not really look-a-like.

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

Soon I’ll cosplay as Elsea from the anime Kami nomi zo shiru Sekai; Blue Rose from the anime Tiger & Bunny; and (I hope, at least) Sonic, from the worldwide famous Sega games. Sonic is my first childhood hero, so it’s an important project for me. Also, it will be my first Fursuit cosplay… let’s hope for the best!

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

Both. But I’m not really good at sewing ç_ç so almost all of my costumes are commissioned or bought on the web. But I love to think about the exhibitions, fitting into the character role and painting weapons and fabric.

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

I don’t have a favorite one. I really love many cosplayers that I found really inspiring, like Nadiask, Neneko, Shoko, Kaname and many others!

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

mmh, nope.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

The biggest lesson I’ve discovered so far is this one: a good make up really makes the difference between a poor or mediocre cosplay and a really good one. Also, wig’s choice is really important, so don’t underestimate that! Also, if anyone want to know, I only use lenses bought from Pinky Paradise. I love them. Good range of color, good price, maximum comfort. Lastly but not last, enjoy what you do. Really. Don’t listen to anyone who talk at your shoulders or mocks you. Cosplay is fun first of all, not a job or something to be ashamed of!

He comes from Italy and gets a free Vampire Knight Men Day department School Uniform Cosplay Costume, which is being made in our factory now.

Karyu Kuroda started doing cosplay in 2008 and considers cosplay as a wonderful hobby. He has won many awards, such as the best male, the best performance and also the best accessory. Later, he will publish 2 books with pictures of his cosplay works. Let’s expect. Today, he joins in our cosplayer interview. Take a look at what he shares below.

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay means friendship and fun to me.

It’s on November 2008 whit my first cosplay Tidus from, Final Fantasy X

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

My first day with my first cosplay.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

I finally was able to do a photoshoot in june 2011, with my cosplay of Geis from Ys the Ark Napishtim.

For a long time, now I have idea to cosplaying Geis from Ys the Ark of Napishtim. I have been making the costume on 3 month.

If you do not to make my cosplay, I buy it.

I don’t know what you think of IamWhiteRabbit’s Street Fighter Cammy cosplay we posted here two days before. At least, I was totally caught and feel fascinated about it till now. The unique make-up, red hat, blond hair and green costume do this cosplay talent seem so appealing. 1. Please introduce yourself first.

My name is Jenny. Believe it or not, I’m 29 years old. I say this because it’s usually something people ask me over and over again. I’ve been a gamer literally my whole life, raised on turbo graphix 16 and nintendo.

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

I’m not sure about this question, but I guess cosplay means fun, imagination and creativity.

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

My first official cosplay at the 2004 San Diego Comicon, I cosplayed Sailor Moon.

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

All of my cosplay experiences have been memorable honestly. One that stands out a little was Rainbow Brite. I was spotted across the hall by a Mojo-Jo-Jo, he yelled and ran to me. It was cute.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

The Photo Shoot at Wondercon 2011 as Cammy White was probably my favorite. A lot of photos turned out great and it was a blast working with the photographer.

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

I enjoy the Lux cosplay, (League of Legends PC) although the clothing/armor part was made by a friend in Tokyo. I really enjoyed working on the Boots, Baton and Headband.

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

I’d like to do a Zelda cosplay, but that’s a little ways away because I just finished my Muse Sona and will be wearing that one for a bit.

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

I never buy them made. I don’t always sew the clothes myself, I have help from friends that enjoy sewing, but I always make the props/ shoes/accessories.

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

My two sisters and a lot of my friends cosplay. I actually met my boyfriend at Fanime, we dressed as characters from the same game and fell in love…cheesy right? Actually it was more complicated than that but anyways, cosplayers are awesome.

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

After cosplay? Like after a con is over? I actually get kind of sad after each con. There aren’t enough.

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

I’m kind of tough on cosplayer, I think you should pick characters you like and look similar to, or at least make costumes that require a lot of time and effort. I’m a pretty serious but fun cosplayer, I put a lot of thought into my cosplay, it’s kind of a tribute to the characters I model.

Today, the American girl MurderNurse, who showed us the breathtaking A Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Krueger cosplay days ago accepted our interview for cosplay talents. To see all of her cosplay works, you can pay a visit to her gallery. But to better know her cosplay experience and thought, just don’t neglect what she says below. Now, let’s begin.

1. Please introduce yourself first.

My name is Danni, but I go by Murder Nurse as a stage name. I’m a burlesque dancer for well-known East Coast con-troupe Cosplay Burlesque, Geek Girl Productions and Ink & Paint burlesque club. I also do quite a bit of modeling and in my spare time enjoy gaming, watching horror movies, anime or curling up with a good comic!

2. What does cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay means quite a few things to me now that it’s not only a hobby for me, but also the form of entertainment I give to an audience. But for me, cosplay will most likely always be my escape from reality where I can become the characters I admire, and of course, a chance to bring those characters to life on stage for fellow fans.

3. What and when was your first cosplay?

I started cosplaying in 2003. My HERO at the time was Vash the Stampede from Trigun [one of the very first animes I’d ever seen.] So I chose to do a female version of Vash for my first costume. It amuses me now that I look back on it and think at such a young age, with NO con experience, I was already genderbending characters. xD And I did choose a male character over doing a pretty sailor scout, since Sailor Moon was my very first anime. I had pretty unique interests as a kid, I suppose.

4. What is your most memorable cosplay experience?

I can’t single out one, but any cosplay in which I’ve made friends is a memorable experience. Meeting new people is honestly one of the best things about cosplaying.

5. What’s your favorite photo shoot?

Hmm.. another one that’s hard to single out. xD I do a lot of photoshoots with Black Cat, but I think it depends on the photographer. I really enjoy working with Carroll Kong because he has a fantastic personality, and Anna Fischer is always a delight to work with. I think having a photographer you’re comfortable with is what really makes the shoot enjoyable.

6. What’s your favorite anime/manga/game character to cosplay as?

I love all my characters! Haha. xD But some of my favourites are probably Black Cat, because I always feel confident and sexy in that suit and my No More Heroes cosplays: Sylvia Christel & Bad Girl. No More Heroes is my favourite game, so it allows me to meet a lot of Suda51 fans like myself. Same with Catherine and Mitsuru for Atlus fans! Really, any costume that I’ve gotten to geek out with fellow fans with is a win for me. :]

7. Any cosplay plan in future?

My next cosplays will be Juliet Starling from Lollipop Chainsaw [another Suda51 game, yay!] & Risette from Persona 4 [Atlus]. Suda51 & Atlus seem to always be a recurring theme for me, in both cosplay and burlesque.

8. Do you make your costumes yourself or buy them?

Considering I can’t sew to save my life, a lot of my costumes are bought or commissioned. I have put my own work into some of my costumes, however. I make quite a bit of the accessories myself and the fur detailing on Black Cat was all me. ; Including her diamond choker! My hot glue gun and I are unstoppable. ;D

9. Any other cosplayers you like?

Of course! Little Nemmy, Twin Bee, YuffieBunny, Nana Valtiel, Jeanne Killjoy, xProfAwesome, Yaya Han and AnimeAngel all do impressive work. I’m sure I’m forgetting some names. I admire quite a lot of cosplayers. xD

10. Do some changes happen to you after cosplay?

If you let it, yes, cosplay can change you. It’s no secret the cosplay world has gotten a lot more critical of it’s denizens. If you’re not the “right” build, skin color, age, gender, etc. for a character, or heaven forbid your cosplay isn’t as nice or accurate as someone else’s – you become the target of many nasty comments. In my opinion, cosplay gets taken a bit too seriously these days. It’s not as relaxed as it was when I started in 2003 and could cosplay a favourite character without worrying about it looking perfect or not. So yes, cosplay can change you if you let it. It can make you self-concious, or it can you very brave if you can tough out the criticism. Personally, it made me strive to be a bit better, but it made me a lot more confident and out-going. When I get compliments on my costumes, it makes my day. It really makes me feel like I did the character justice and makes me feel good about myself. I don’t let it change how I enjoy my hobby, though, or who I choose to cosplay. If I don’t look like a character, I’ll most likely find a way to make it work!

11. Any advice you wanna share with cosplay newbies?

A lot of cosplayers have already said this, but I’m going to repeat it because it’s extremely important. Cosplay a character you LOVE and don’t let the fear of being put down for it stop you. You are who you are: body type, age, gender, skin color, etc included! We’re not fictional characters with perfect bodies and hair. I’ve made some of my best friends cosplaying from the same series, so never pass up an opportunity to meet other cosplayers with your same interests! Cosplay is supposed to be fun, so put aside your cares and enjoy it. A lot of people in this community let these kinds of things hold them back. Be one of the few who aren’t afraid to have fun!!
